Another Video!
Update
She is eating well. We've been making soup and stuff and using our hand blender to blend stuff for her and buying baby food. It costs more but easier for those time when she's hungry and you just need to crack open something on the fly. I don't know if she' gained or lost any weight. I'll try and remember to weigh her tomorrow. Otherwise she's doing great. She finally slept through the night with no wake ups last night. She's been really congested. They said that she would be because she's never been in her life and she doesn't know to snort that stuff out of her nose and of course swallowing is different. It is getting better, she doesn't snore as much and the drool is lessening.. MAN the drool!!! it's been.. yikes!! again she wouldn't swallow (guess it hurt or was weird). Like I said it's not as bad. Had to buy those bibs with cloth on outside and plastic on inside so she wouldn't be soaked, esp since it's so freakin cold. COLD!!! HATE IT!!! It's not even freakin winter.. ug
So here are some cute pics from the last few weeks. Enjoy! Note how her hair is growing in!! looking even cuter.. if that is possible! As Aunt Nancy says.. she's so flippin cute.

Tuesday, Sept 21
Aunt Beth, our OT, said she has low tone in her core. We need to work on her core strength. So we try and do baby situps with her as we are playing with her and get her to crawl. She keeps trying to stand. She wants us to hold her arms/hands and she gets herself onto her feet. Little bugger. We are also working on sign language as that will be easier for her than the whole English thing at this point. I have some work to do as in calling local cleft Palate organizations and start things rolling for her. We've got lots of challenges ahead. Surgeries, speech therapy. Luckily she's a very determined girl..and quite the thinker.
Right now we have to work out the visiting schedule as all her aunts, uncles and grandparents want to come and visit! She's so popular! And we are also trying to work out when the Baptism will be. More on that later.
Some stuff for us. It's our 15th year anniversary this Thursday! Yey!! So if anyone is interested in babysitting so we can go out for a dinner, let me know!! We don't care when we go, just would like to soon. Also we need someone for November 2nd. That is David's WDW 20th annv dinner. Most likely it'll be more like house sitting as we'll get her to bed and then there's not much to do but hang out just in case she stirs. which lately is not the case, well not till in the early am and we'll be home by then.
So on we go. We have to start looking at David's vac time and how the money stash is doing to see how long we can go before we both need to work and she'll need to go to daycare 2 days a week. Dreading that. Though, she loves being around other children, it'd be interesting to see how that goes.
We developed the pictures the orphanage took for us. Very interesting to get a glimpse of what her life was like before we came along. Glad we came along.
Ok.. I put this tiara on her TOTALLY expecting her to just pull the garsh darn thing right off. Nope. She left it on and kept on playing. Like she knew she was a little princess!

Chicken Soup is good...
She is sooo close to crawling and today she pulled herself up and sorta stood. She definitely has the strength to stand.
We went to her pediatrician on Thursday for her initial appt. And we got a pile of referrals. ENT, Plastic surgeon, PT, OT (which Aunt Beth will awesomely do for us). She's got alot ahead of her. Sorta sucks..lots of doctor crap. He was alarmed by her head size, she's in the 5th percentile. So either she has a small head because: her birth mom did drugs, infection during pregnancy or her birth mom had a small head. We are thinking the later just because of what we are seeing her pick up in just over 2 weeks of her being with us. As I speak she is emptying my office paper recycle bin. This kid LOVES paper. She'll be a scrap booker some day for sure! Either way we can't wait for Aunt Beth, who is an OT, to come out and assess her so we know where she stands developmentally and what things we can do to help her advance.
Let's see, she really doesn't like us feeding her all the time now, it's like she says.. I'm no baby Mom and Dad! We handed her a spoon and well she was giving it a try. And did we say this girl can eat!! holy moly. She eats an entire envelope of oatmeal for breakfast and some cherrios. She's now drinking from a cup, well sorta.. very close. She likes to put her hands in the cup. Wierd.
We are still having issues at night. Last night was a particularly rough one. We think she is cutting another tooth. Gave her some Tylenol and that seemed to help. Today we moved her crib into her room, she napped fine in there alone. Tonight we'll draw straws to see who gets to sleep with her in her room and who gets the nights sleep. Then we'll rotate. We are very irritable and I think some uninterrupted sleep would do us wonders.
She met her cousins Nicholas and Christopher who were just sooo excited to see her. They are visiting us and Disney World this weekend. She just sorta sat there and watched as the two of them were all over the place. She'd look at me like, really I'm related to these guys?!!? Very cute! Eventually the excitement lessened and she just kept watching both boys intently. She loved Uncle Lance and all his fun sound effects as he fed her dinner.
So today was a 3 hour nap. Let's see how that translates this evening. The Dr. said we need to get her off formula and on real food. So we are only doing bottle feedings overnight. It's a soothing thing too I think.
Otherwise things are going pretty well as we move along. Here are some great pictures from the last few days. You'll notice it's mostly of her eating. Did I say this girl can eat?!?!?

Mid-Week fun
Well we are doing pretty well. Though all three of us are suffering a bit from Jet Lag. For us it's the fact she likes to get up in the middle of the night and chat and play and we just want to sleep. She didn't do that in China, she slept through the night for the most part.
Yesterday we took our first walk around with our cool stroller.
Here she is, she was in a bit of a foul mood at first, but the walk jeered her up.
We also ran some errands and she pretty much slept everytime we were in the car! Then we had dinner at our favorite pizza place, Primos in Lakeland. Oh man their pizza and calzones are to die for!.. deeelish. It's a tiny place but now the owner knows us and when he saw us walk in with Robyn it was pretty cool. All the employees loved watching her.
Pizza!!
She LOVES Ricotta cheese- is this kid not mine or what!!!
Bread and Ricotta cheese.. yum yum
Today we went by David's office to show her off and she was great. She truely is a social butterfly and loved all the extra attention. We have found the American equivalent to Chinese Rice Puffs. More baby crackers.. they are like crack for babies. She loves them. We went back home so she could nap then woke her up to have to come along to David's haircut appt.. well that didn't go over well. We needed to wake her also in an attempt to get her on our time zone. I stayed home with her and David left for his appt. She just wanted baby snacks.. and I was like no you must have some real food. She ate the yokes of 2 boiled eggs and some cherrios. Yum Yum.
We have new neighbors across the street. They moved in last week. Seem really nice. The wife, Jeannie, already brought me clothes that her 7mo old doesn't fit in. Seriously.. my kid is petite!. And she brought one of those walker things with wheels for Robyn and a swing rocker thing. How sweet is that! Nice to have a neighbor.. ya know a neighbor neighbor. Anyway, we tried out the swing thing after her bath and after about 2mins she was out. Wow. that's handy. Hopefully it works at 2am as well!
Well I'm pooped, trying to stay awake as I type this. She got up at 1am last night and played thru 4 or so.. ugh.
"Helping" Daddy with stroller tires. They need air.
Most awesome Bathtub tub thing. It ROCKS!!!
Reading the paper.
