Water is FUN!

So yesterday was REALLY warm in the mid 80's and we were cleanin the patio because her party is next Saturday and our plan is to hold it out there. So after we realized she wasn't gonna nap. (argh) we got her up and lathered up the sunblock and put her suit on so she could play with the hose. She had a blast! Too busy playin with the hose to bother looking at Daddy!

And here are a few more pictures of her playing in the water...............

She saw me holding my bowl as I ate some leftovers.. ever since she's held hers while she was eating! Here she's having some yummy Italian sausage soup we made in the crockpot today.

Love this.. just loungin on the coach.. with her tummy stickin out!

Have a great week!

Just cute pictures...

I mean.. come on this kid is pretty cute!

Yesterday she went with her dad to watch some Braves BP at the Sports complex. This was taken with his phone.

Then today we did some shoppin.. First one at JCPenny and the Second at Target!

We had our 6month check-in with our social worker yesterday and she is just amazed on how Robyn is doing. She was Miss Social so it was great. We had to pick four pictures to be sent to China. She said that they are VERY strict about the check-ins and will penalize the agency if they don't keep up with them. Wow.. Well I know we made sure had everything together. Would hate to impact other families or us down the line.

Oh.. learned some REALLY COOL NEWS!!!! Robyn has Chinese cousins!!! Turns out one of my grandmother's brothers (Uncle Paul). His son adopted two girls from China! Kaki and Becky.. we are soo excited and hope we can meet them someday. How cool is that cousins! We are in the process of connecting with each other. My dad has forwarded off the blog address.. and they can always find me on facebook. Donna Porcari Foster. It's an easy one to find! Not too many like that one!

She's takin her nap right now.. and yes.. actually napping this time! We have a birthday party to go to this afternoon. Marley, she lives down the street, is turning 3! Then next Saturday is Robyn's Birthday.. the big TWO! Wow.. I can't believe she's two! and dang her.. her feet are growin again!! At Penny's I got another pair of sneakers.. she's just about a size 4 shoe now! Geez! And she's wearing 2T stuff! some 2T pants/shorts are a bit long.. so we go from 2T to 18mos for bottoms...just depends. It just amazes me that it's the same for little girls as us bigger girls. You can't go by size.. a size 6 for isn't always the same either! If anything she'll always grow into it!

So there ya go.. fun at the Foster household.. we are lovin the warm weather.. and the cheap electric bills!!

Utensils!

Wow look at me using a spoon! She tends to favor her right hand.. but she still swaps to her left sometimes. I know it's a bit early before they pick their dominant hand. It's still fun to watch her. She's growin too. She can wear 18mos and 24mos shirts.. pants we are still in 18mos. She now weighs in at 23lbs! She's really talking.. but we have no idea what the heck she's saying. That's ok. Next Saturday is her birthday! Two years old! Soo exciting! She will start transitioning to the 2yr old room the week after next at daycare. This next month she'll be going 3 days a week as David will be working some OT. With the extra cash we'll get the baseball package for the satellite. We love having all the games!

Speaking of games our first Spring Training game is March 9th at the Braves Sports complex. Can't wait! The weather has been awesome here. I planted some seeds in the garden. Some bush beans and sugar snaps. Then a whole bunch in my seed starter kit. Tomato, Squash, Zucchini, basil and some Chinese Gai Lan and Chinese leeks. Hope they grow!

Here is a video I took this morning of her using her spoon to eat her oatmeal!

She got into my tampons.. argh.

We have our 6month check in with our Social Worker. China requires a 6month and then a year check in. I have to get 4 pictures together to send over. hmmm.. let's see which ones...

TV... There it is..

So for the longest time Robyn really didn't care about the TV. I'm not complaining.. that's GREAT!! But recently we've discovered some favorites.
Of course there is Sesame Street!.. tho just the beginning.. Then it becomes the Elmo show and quite frankly it's just not as good. Here they are having a contest to see how many hats they can wear.

The second...
The Sound of Music. She LOVES this movie. But only watches the parts where they are singing. As soon as they stop, she runs off to play. Then I'll say. Robyn they are singing, she'll run back to watch. The hardest part is getting her to sit back a bit from the TV. She wants to be RIGHT in front of it!

Then this is just the cutest picture of her. She was helping me bring in the groceries.

She is feeling better. Had poo everywhere again this morning. I am so sick of cleaning up pooped up clothes. Gave her some probiotics yesterday (new Doc reccommended it).. and they seem to be helping! And she had her appetite back at lunch today!! YEY!!! and the hives seem to be lessening. whew.

This weekend it's just her and I for most of Saturday. David is going to the AMC Best Picture showcase. (http://www.amctheatres.com/bps/) This is where AMC shows all the Oscar nominees in two full days. He's nuts.. not my thing. But he loves it. So maybe we'll go to the park or something. So glad it's finally warming up! yey..

Well.. need to eat some lunch before she gets up from her nap.

She now weighs in at 22lbs!!! and now is wearing 18mos.. and I actually put her in a 24mos onzie!! It's soo cool to see her growing.

Right now she is SUPPOSED to be napping.. but no... jibber jabbering.. Sounds like she's having a good time. Oh well.. she'll just crash early tonight.

And here is our wish list for Robyn on Amazon.com. http://amzn.com/w/3IRL0AYY3AA3H I try to keep it updated with ideas for her. not that the kid really needs anything.. That's for sure!

Hives are evil too...

Poor kid. Ok.. so Saturday she started with the runs... then after having a FUN afternoon with Aunt Beth and Uncle John and yummy Chinese food at our new favorite Chinese place she had a rough night. I noticed a bump or two on her that day.. looked like she had scratched herself. no biggie. So after a rough night.. we slept in Sunday while David went to church.. Then she had a 4 hour nap!! guess she was making up for no nap the day before and a rough night. Then more diarrhea.. and now hives! We had to rinse her off in the shower because poo was up her back.. then got in her hair when David took her shirt off.. ew! So we gave her her bath.. not knowing that warm/heat will inflame hives.. which it did!! OH MY! Now we've never given her benedryl before and I had no idea how much to give her. AND to add a whole new dimension to this.. we had changed her pediatrician online last Thursday so we had no one we could call. So I called the new one and of course they can't help.. but she said to check out Night Light Pediatrics.. it's an after hours Urgent care clinic for kids. They were GREAT!.. Said it could have been the peanut butter I gave her Sun for lunch or the fish crackers she had at the CHinese place or could be a virus..
They gave her some benedry.. now i know how much to give.. and some Tylenol. the Bene worked and she ate some din din and went to bed.
Yesterday.. we took her to to the pediatrician... WE LOVE HER!!! Dr. D. Marcus. We finally have a dr we really like. She said it's most likely an intestinal virus.. keep her on the bene and it should clear up in a few days.. bland diet.. liquids.. the usual. She doesn't think it's an allergy reaction, but ordered a blood test we can do to make sure. WHich is cool! So yey a crazy weekend.. but we have a dr we like!!!

She is still sleeping.. it's almost 9am, which is great. She can get to feelin better. Not much else going on this week. Starting to plan her birthday party for March 5th. Got some fun stuff. Doing a Kailan party. She's the little girl on Nickelodeon that teaches preschoolers Chinese. It's a very cute show. We got a DVD from someone at our shower and we watched it the other day. Robyn loved the fun songs and would dance anytime they started singing!

So there ya go.. No crazy pictures right now.. hives are not fun! So let me go check on her and see if she's up and hungry!

Storing food for later...

We were eating dinner.. she was done. She pulled off her bib and then proceeded to stuff her shirt with food. Mostly corn. Not sure why. Guessing she thought she could put it in a safe place for a snack later!

She's doing great! I think the pollen is getting to her. I know it's getting to me.. I'm all stuffed up she is too.. and runny. Yey and boo Spring.

More fun at the Foster household!!

Teeth are evil.. they just are. They make ya cranky.. drooly and snotty. Teeth are evil.

Otherwise all is going great! Just gonna post pictures. Can't believe that she'll be two in just one month!! We are planning on having her Birthday party on March 5th! So Save the date! She is just an absolute joy in our lives. We grab and hug her at every opportunity! Whether she likes it or not... ha ha!

A few things. One day last week she grabbed her little jacket, handed it to me, put her arms back so I could put it on.. then after I got it on.. she pointed to the front door! Let's go out Mommy! This past weekend was crazy busy. Saturday morning, first was a trip to the vet for Chester. He's fine, just another beak and pokey toes filin! Then we had our neighbor's daughter's birthday party. Happy 1st Birthday Elektra! Then dinner with the other Chinese adoption families for Chinese New year! Here are pics from the last week.
The Girls look soo cute! Robyn out grew her silky outfit!

Goofin off with Ruth. Dip + Chips = YUM!!

So this is what you were doing instead of taking a nap!!!

Love this Weather!!

So this past Saturday we met with other families in our area who have adopted girls from China at a local park. Robyn was the youngest at almost two. She LOVED the slides! It was dry out so anytime she'd slide.. she'd pick up a static charge and her hair would stand up! Very cute. Here are some pics.

Last Thursday we had her big apt with CMS(Childrens Medical Services). It a great program for children with Cleft Palate and our plastic surgeon, Dr. Stieg .. I think.. is the head honcho for it. We got there at 8am. ew.. Then one by one each professional would come in and do a quick assessment of Robyn and give a heads up on things to expect, tips and well.. just TONS of information. We were blown away by the whole experience! Very cool. The Pediatric Dentist recommended a Pediatrician so we are gonna try them out soon. Not happy with our current one. All in all a really fascinating day and Robyn was a trooper. We were there 2.5hrs. I made sure to bring snacks and a few toys.. she was awesome.

Here are a few more pictures from this weekend. We took her for a spin around the neighbor hood in the convertible to see what she thought.. love the hair! Also she LOVED riding her Zebra down the driveway! We got a new helmet and she knows she has to wear it when we go outside with the Zebra or her Big Wheel- which she can't reach the pedals on yet so it's not that fun. Soon. She's just over 30" now! I found info we got from China back in June and she was only 28" then!! yey she's growin!

I got her new sneakers last week too. Went to the outlets and got some Stride Ride sneakers. She is much more steady in those! We had lunch with Debbie, Allen and Jamie afterwards. It was great to see them and we hope to visit them more often!

Also last weekend we went to The Bird Store to get.. well bird food and went by this AWESOME market just west of Kirkman on St Rd 50 http://www.1storiental.com/ we got all sorts of great food and stuff. Here is a pic.

We found that YUMMY Chinese broccoli/Cabbage that we LOVED in Guangzhou! And Chinese leeks.. the long scallion looking things. Some awesome bread, soy sauce. We had a great time! Robyn loved seeing all the Asian folks. And there was a really nifty blend of people.. many different Asian, Black, white.. latin.. Very cool!! I went back today to get a few things. I found those YUMMY elephant ear cookies.. or actually known as Umbrella cookies and got some dumpling wrappers and Rice Wine so I can try and make my own dumplings for Chinese New Year on Thursday! Xīn Nián Kuài Lè.!

One more picture. She was just being cute. She found her headband and put it on and was playing with the long bag of Kettle corn!
